Security Analyst - Halifax

Our client is in the financial services industry sector and has a permanent vacancy for an experienced security incident and event analyst (SIEM) to join their expanding information security team. 

Responsibilities

Provide real time monitoring of security controls, with detection and alerting on potential security incidents triggering appropriate and proportionate responses

Analysis of security incidents, determination of impact and risk level and subsequent execution of appropriate remediation responses to protect the company

Provide root cause analysis reporting on security incidents & perform forensic investigation on significant security/data breach incidents

Ensure security controls are appropriately configured

Provide oversight and production of key performance and risk indicators

Maintain a focus on threat operations

Vulnerability and standards compliance management

Management of penetration testing

Security implementations

Identity and access management oversight

Encryption management

Essential Skills

Hands on experience working with anti-virus, vulnerability management, security monitoring

Experience and knowledge of checkpoint & cisco firewalls

Vulnerability scanning

Degree or relevant equivalent experience

CEH

CompTIA Security+ Experience and knowledge

Be aware of threats to the organisation and customers
