Job Description

The team

We work closely with colleagues in Finance Transformation, Operational Transformation and Technology Enablement as part of our Powered Controls projects. We also work closely with colleagues in cyber security, risk and regulatory, as well as our wider Technology Consulting team which provides technology solutions and enablement to FS clients, as well as strategic advice to CIOs.

The FS Technology Risk team are specialist technology risk and control experts. Our services include:
- IT risk transformation
- IT controls lifecycle (design, implementation, optimisation, testing)
- Technology audit - supporting internal audit functions
- Project risk assurance
- Third party risk management and assurance
- Operational resilience
- Emerging technology risk management (Cloud, AI, RPA, Blockchain)
All supported by data analytics and automation.

The Role:

We are seeking a Director to build an FS capability to deliver on our Powered Controls strategy. The Director's role will be to establish leadership, go to market, sales and delivery within the FS sector, leveraging and developing the current global methodology, approach and tools as well as resources. This will involve collaborating closely with other teams within Consulting, such as our Finance Transformation practice.

Requires Oracle GRC / Controls expertise, involving control definition and implementation, process and control optimisation, security, access roles and segregation of duties.
Will involve:
- Leading the delivery of Oracle process, controls, SoD engagements typically under a Powered Finance transformation programme
- Leading opportunity development, conversion and delivery of Oracle control and GRC services
- Team leadership and management
- Advising clients that operate Oracle based systems
- Technical delivery of Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, PO, FA, SA) and GRC / Advanced Control.

The candidate must have strong experience in developing senior client relationship and delivering Oracle Fusion Financials projects or engagements, either within a Big 4 or equivalent consultancy and/or the FS industry. We seek a senior individual with a track record of identifying and converting business development opportunities into fee generating projects; a team player with energy and drive.

The Director role covers the following key areas:

- People leadership - lead/manage/nurture the team/identify gaps and build skills
- Technical Delivery - lead, oversee and quality assure KPMG projects following global methodology and best practices. Instil and demonstrate a culture of high quality work, professionalism and team work.
- Business/Client Development - lead senior client relationships, develop relationships to generate revenue for the firm, respond to business development opportunities, innovate and create practical commercial solutions to client issues.

Working alongside fellow Directors and Partners, the Powered Controls Director role involves:

- Taking responsibility for delivery of existing projects as well as taking responsibility for the overall output from client engagements.
- Leading engagements on a day to day basis with assistance of Senior Managers/Managers in the team. Successfully leading and delivering IT consulting services to medium to large, multi-national clients.
- Contributing effectively to project teams and take responsibility for completing work
- Being responsible for leading and developing our Powered Controls offering across FS
- Lead the scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables.
- Building and managing excellent networks and client relationships (typically at CFO, Head of Controls, CRO, and other C suite). Allowing the identification and progression of business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as responding to RFPs, bid management, proposal writing and client presentations.
- Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, but in particular in the wider Technology Consulting areas.
- Demonstrating domain expertise in the area of Oracle Controls / GRC and Finance Transformation

The person

- Strong delivery capability - precision, clear communication, service quality, leading teams and leading client interactions at a senior level as well as an ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Sales focus with evidence of generating consulting revenues of at least £1.5 million per year
- Wide industry exposure with a depth of knowledge in Oracle Controls within Financial Services
- Proven experience of successfully leading, managing and delivering IT consulting services to medium/large, multi-national clients.
- Extensive Oracle Controls / GRC / Finance Transformation experience and consulting experience is required.
- Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering Oracle control and GRC services Experienced in advising clients that operate Oracle based systems
- In depth functional experience of Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, PO, FA, SA) and GRC / Advanced Control.
- Experienced in Oracle Release 12.
- Experienced in using Oracle data analysis tools.
- Proven experience of successfully delivering technology risk services.
- "Big 4" professional services or IT consultancy environment experience.

Qualifications

- Bachelor degree qualification in IT or a first class or 2.1 degree from a leading institution (Essential)
- Prince II or PMI qualified (Desirable)
