Check Point revenues up 8% in Q1 2017

Check Point Software - the world’s largest cyber security vendor - saw global revenue grow by eight per cent in the first quarter of 2017, compared to the first three months of 2016.

The company turned over $435 million (£336.1 million) between January and March, $31 million more than Q1 2016, with a quarter of that ($112 million) coming from subscriptions to its software blades, i.e. firewalls, virtual private networks (VPNs), intrusion prevention systems or application controls.

Commenting on his company’s growth, Gil Shwed, founder and chief executive officer of Check Point Software Technologies, said: “We started off 2017 with a positive trend, delivering earnings per share and revenues towards the top end of our projection.

“We have executed on our vision for consolidating security with the launch of Check Point Infinity, the cyber security platform for the future and the first consolidated security architecture across networks, cloud and mobile, providing the highest level of threat prevention.”
