Check Point teams up with Orange to bolster security of mobile devices

Published on: 22 Feb 2018

A new security service, designed to address the growing number of mobile cyber attacks, has been launched by Check Point Software Technologies.

The cyber security solutions provider has teamed up with Orange Cyberdefense, the Orange Group’s entity that specialises in cybersecurity, to introduce Orange Mobile Threat Protection.

Orange disappeared as a standalone mobile operator in the UK in 2015, following a takeover from EE, but continues to operate in South Africa and its native France.

This new security solution will help Orange to tackle the increasing number of mobile cyber attacks within enterprises worldwide and empower them with 360-degree protection of their iOS and Android devices.

Orange Mobile Threat Protection combines Check Point’s Sandblast Mobile technology and Orange Device Management Premium to provide a cloud-based administrative console, unlocking full visibility of a mobile fleet’s security and threat intelligence, and around the clock support from Orange’s top-tier mobile experts.

A spokesman for Check Point said: “Through this collaboration with Orange Cyberdefense, mobile device users will be protected against the full range of malware, network attacks and other forms of mobile cyber attacks.”
