IT professionals in Manchester next month may want to head to a dedicated cyber security training event.

Information security training provider The SANS Institute is to visit Manchester next month, offering IT security professionals the chance to brush up on their cyber skills during a six-day event.

Between 24th and 29th February 2020, participants will be able to check out a series of immersion-style security skills 'training tracks' and learn directly from world-renowned cyber security practitioners.

Each training programme is designed to provide attendees with the skills they need to protect their organisations from cyber breaches and stop future attacks before they occur.

Visitors will also be able to prepare themselves for further cyber security qualifications and training once the event has concluded.

The SANS Institute's UK and Nordics managing director Stephen Jones said the organisation is keen to extend its training events into more regional cities across Europe.

"SANS is delighted to be running our first training event in Manchester in February. This will provide the best in-depth technical cyber security training available from world-leading cyber security experts," he added.

Established in 1989, The SANS Institute is considered one of the most trusted and largest sources for information security training and security certification in the world. It operates programmes that reach more than 165,000 security professionals globally.
