Virtual College shortlisted for two prestigious awards

Published on: 21 Sep 2018

Online courses provider Virtual College has had its recent successes recognised in two prestigious award lists.

The Ilkley-based firm has been shortlisted in both the Sunday Times Tech Track ‘Ones to Watch’ rankings and for the ‘Best Online Distance Learning Programme’ in The Learning Technologies Awards 2018.

Hannah Brindle, managing director of Virtual College, said both awards were in recognition of the firm’s recent achievements.

“We work tirelessly to create relevant, value added, online training for a variety of different organisations in various markets, allowing them to offer a comprehensive training solution,” she said.

“It is a compliment indeed to get included in a short list from such prestigious bodies.”

The Sunday Times Tech Track ‘Ones to Watch’ comprises a selection of companies that have excelled in their sales performance and growth.

Meanwhile, Virtual College’s nomination in the Learning Technologies Awards was in partnership with DPG (Developing People Globally), with finalists selected from over 400 entries by an independent judging panel of experts organised by the eLearning Network.

Here they took a level five, CIPD-accredited Human Resources Manager course fully online, enabling DPG to offer this high-quality training more widely via distance learning.

The course now has over 580 enrolled learners with an improved first-time pass rate and 97 per cent of learners recommending it to others.
