As a presales consultant in BAE Systems you will be supporting the sales force as a subject matter expert covering our strong portfolio of differentiated managed security services. You will be integral to delivering our vision of becoming a leading provider of Cyber Security solutions into industry through helping to win new business. The work is fast paced and testing, and will enable you to develop an extensive range of new skills and experiences as a result. You will be exposed to new approaches, new technology, and new ideas, so a willingness to step out of your comfort zone is a must.

To fulfil the role we are looking for direct experience or transferable skills in the majority of the following:
  • A consultative led approach to selling to both C-level as well as operational stakeholders
  • A background in presales, solution architecture or technical consulting in the Cyber / IT security domain
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of managed security services, the business and technical risk drivers for these services and the importance of the role in threat intelligence in underpinning the propositions
  • Ability to converse in terms of cyber threat, gross risk, mitigation and net risk
  • Build strong internal stakeholder relations with Product Management, Solution Architecture, Product Marketing and Delivery
  • Technical and business problem knowledge in one of the following areas: SIEM and protective monitoring; Advanced Threat Detection; Endpoint Detection & Remediation; and Security Operations
More broadly, it would be great if you also had experience in some of these points, or if not a desire to learn them:
  • Designing an appropriate scope of managed security services and relevant technical scope for each service line
  • Delivering compelling demonstrations of our cyber products
  • Act as a managed security services evangelist at external and internal events including the opportunity for public speaking
  • Awareness and understanding of sales theory (e.g., sales solution framework), its practice and supporting sales applications (e.g., SFDC)

We are recruiting a presales consultant to the part of the Technology & Commercial EMEA sales team, part of a broader global sales community of over 300 people.
