Salary Range: £32K - £48K as a guideline

• Salary range of between £35,000 to £48,000 depending on experience, plus overtime & flexi time, wider benefits include pension and flexible holiday scheme based on 27 days per annum.

The job will involve:

• Penetration testing of connected cyber (virtual and physical) systems within an automotive / vehicle engineering environment.
• Coordinating penetration testing activities within a small team.
• Executing structured attacks on cyber systems within a white-hat laboratory, a workshop and vehicle proving ground.
• Objective evaluation, reporting and making recommendations on system resilience.  

This job will suit:

• A Test Engineer with experience of penetration testing in the information technology and/or internet of things domain.
• Experience of orchestrating structured attacks and recording data in a systematic way.
• Exposure to some of the following is beneficial; Connected technology, IoT, embedded operating systems; WiFi and Ethernet networks; USB subsystems; DAB radio services; mobile security; internet / cloud security; software attacks; writing attack code / malware.
• You are likely to have a formal qualification in an electrical/electronic engineering, IT, systems engineering, computer sciences, software or similar technical discipline.
