Our client is seeking a Senior Manager Advisory, Intelligence and Innovation to develop, implement and continuously improve the regulatory framework and its adoption by Operators of Essential Services, as to ensure operational systems and networks in the electricity and downstream gas sectors in Great Britain, remain resilient against cyber and related security threats.
Head of Advisory, Intelligence and Innovation will minimise issuance of enforcement notices and penalties through effective collaboration and consultation.
You will ensure delivery and continued improvement of guidance and Cyber Security Practices and timely advice on sector related threats, vulnerabilities, controls and incidents.
Specific skills and capabilities:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in an engineering or technology-based discipline.
  • Certified to one or more of the following; CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 lead implementer.
  • You must demonstrate that you have recent and relevant skills and experience in all of the following areas:
    • Operating in an IT/IS/OT environment, specifically related to managing the security of critical systems;
    • Developing strategic plans for managing security in a rapidly evolving risk landscape; o Understanding of cyber security risks affecting Industrial Control Systems, and duly considering appropriate and reasonable security controls to mitigate such risks;
    • Managing security and risks associate with Operational Technology and/or Control Systems; and
    • Working knowledge of IEC62443 series in critical infrastructure and challenges faced with introducing security controls
    • Experience of engaging, advising and influencing at all levels of an organisation including senior managers, whilst projecting credibility and self-assurance
    • An effective and engaging communicator, with experience working effectively with key external stakeholders.
Desirable:
  • Certified to GICSP, SABSA, TOGAF and CISSP.
  • Knowledge and/or exposure to SEC and SMETS1/SMETS2
  • Knowledge of IEC62443 and/or IEC62351 and/or NIST 800-82 in the Energy sector
  • Experience of performing risk assessments in ICS environment
  • Experience of integrating security into the project engineering lifecycle
