Cyber Detection Engineer

Cyber Detection Engineer is sought by a leader in Financial Services for their highly skilled SOC team based in Zurich, Switzerland. The team is growing and require a Cyber Detection Engineer who is accomplished in security engineering to act as first line of defence in overseeing the IT Infrastructure and security platform from cyber threats.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Cyber Detection Engineer to be challenged across a range of cutting-edge technologies as they further develop collaborating with a highly agile team in protecting their operational security platform; which they would be keen to see you impact. Additionally as well as driving best practise you will be accountable analysis of security incidents and vulnerabilities, analyzing and correlate log information to detect threats, evaluate network traffic for security breaches and anomalies, documenting and investigating.

Primarily they seek an accomplished Cyber Security Analyst who is personable, highly motivated, as well as being technically proficient to join a team of four. Cyber Detection Engineer permanent profile required

Ideally seeking a Cyber Detection Engineer with ideally least two years' experience in security systems and infrastructure.

Ideally carrying either CERT, CSIRT or FinSOC experiences.

Expert understanding of SIEM tools QRadar, Splunk, Resilient and Tanium.

Have accomplished technical abilities in security automation and particularly Python.

An in-depth background of security events and logfiles as well as firewalls, IDS / IPS, proxy, AV, anti-spam, server and network systems.

A good background in Windows or Linux infrastructure.

Have a good academic background having attained either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Willing to contribute as part of a 24/7 on call and work on a shift basis.

Have an open attitude to further learning and acquiring new skills and certifications.

Excellent written and spoken skills in German and English.

Salary: 100,000 - 120,000CHF base salary + 30,000CHF bonus package.
