Job Title: Information Technology Security Operations Analyst

The Information Technology Security Operations Analyst is part of the Security and Network Operations team. Primarily supporting day to day operations of the function, the role is expected to ensure that IT Services, processes and procedures are carried out in a timely fashion meeting expected quality standards.
Main Duties:
  • Responsible for the cataloguing, handling and secure tracking of IT based assets and media, which includes working with the IT asset manager for storage, erasure and destruction meeting compliance standards.
  • Working with Application and Data centre teams to prepare and execute assessments, analysis and remediation on new and current information systems and networks.
  • Prepares, reviews and publishes documentation covering process instructions, weekly and monthly metrics related to operational security processes and workflows.
  • Lifecycle management of accounts ensuring currency and validity of accounts within our Identity management tools.
  • Maintenance of specialist tooling such as offline encryption and AV systems ensuring systems are up to date to support activities
  • Supporting Network and SOC teams on a day to day basis across a variety of tasks including working with specialist security and network operations partners.
Candidate Requirement:
Essential:
  • Excellent customer facing skills, ability to work with IT and business colleagues supporting business operations.
  • You shall have experience of working within AD or RSA multi factor systems managing account lifecycles such as creation, deletion, reporting and harvesting
  • Experience working with Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) and SEP Encryption products
  • Have experience with security encryption products such as BeCrypt,
  • Have experience in reviewing creating process documentation and workflows across the IT spectrum for the purposes of maintaining Confidentiality, intergrity and availability of Information and Systems,
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of SC
Desirable:
  • Experience as an information security analyst or consultant in an operational IT environment
  • Experience managing Windows endpoints, server 2012, 2016 and / or Linux Servers
  • Experience of working in MOD and/or other regulated industries i.e. banking, telecommunications
  • An understanding of working with HMG security requirements.
  • A firm understanding of PKI and associated activities
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or proven experience in a required area of expertise.
