Summary of Role:
To interact with and become a key member of the integrated project delivery team providing accurate and meaningful project planning information to the management team and key stakeholders to support the effective delivery of the project.
You will be supported to develop Schedule Risk Analysis , and Earned Value / budget control knowledge; including the creation and analysis of variance analysis data to support the programme in reporting and key decision making.

Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for integrity of project Schedules ensuring that all activities, events and milestones are logically linked and fully resourced with labour hours, materials and subcontract payments.
Undertake and co-ordinate the updating of the project plans, schedule interdependencies, durations, (aligned to fiscal reporting period) and validate ETCs on a monthly basis.
Develop 'what if' recovery schedules in order to meet changed objectives as necessary.
Production, validation and provision of reporting data. Support programme team with analysis of trend data and corrective actions.
Maintain strict baseline change control ensuring the schedule baseline remains robust, accurate and documented.
Support the development of Programme Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to ensure effective cost and schedule reporting.
Support to Programme Manager and Control Account Managers to establish budget authorisations.

Development Opportunities:
Be able to accurately manipulate Schedule and Earned value data and transfer it between applications.
Be able to analyse Earned Value data, explain trends and highlight potential issues.
Be able to undertake schedule risk analysis.
Be able to follow consistent application of approved best practice processes and tools across Raytheon UK.

The role may also involve ad-hoc duties that are not listed above but are necessary to respond to the needs of the business. These ad-hoc duties will be consistent with the nature of a Project Controller position within Raytheon.

Travel to other Raytheon Sites (UK & USA) may be required.

Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Planning/scheduling experience
Demonstrable project planning skills with working knowledge of common project planning toolsets (in particular, but not limited to Microsoft Project 2007/2010).
Professional knowledge of working in a Project / Programme Management / Control environment.
Ability to convey planning information to a variety of stakeholders
Desire to add value and promote best practice.
Ability to support and guide Programme Managers and their Teams
Ability to multi-task, with good written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business
Ability to work with diverse project teams and stakeholders

Eligible for or holder of government level SC Clearance (Raytheon will sponsor as required)

Desirable (but not essential):
Demonstrate working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
Experience of working within the Defence Industry
Facilitation of Programme Risk Review Boards (Internal and External), risk identification, documentation and risk analysis, in line with the RTN UK Risk Management Process, including the tracking of mitigation and capture plans.
