Job Description
The company :
Our client is world-wide financial services firm which has been providing market leading financial solutions for more than a century. In the context of a global expansion, the business is seeking multiple Data Protection Specialists to integrate their Group Data Protection team within the second line of defence.
Applicants must have an international mind-set and demonstrate proactivity, transparency and accountability in their work.
Responsibilities :
- Undertake control reviews across the business in order to ensure compliance with data privacy best practices
- Enhance data protection awareness and culture through implementing data protection principles, training and practice guidelines
- Ensure the timely delivery of data privacy impact assessments, compliance reviews, communications strategies and control road maps
- Take part in relevant review committees
- Collaborate with experts from other departments such as Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Information Security to achieve delivery
Requirements :
- Proven experience in data protection
- Acute knowledge of EU data privacy regulations as well as standards and best practices
- Knowledge of data loss prevention, data encryption and information security controls
- Competent in large-scale technical program and change management
- Exposure to financial services industry
- Fluent in both English and French
- Professional qualifications with regards to data privacy are desired
