Summary of Role:
An exciting opportunity had arisen for an engineer to join Raytheon UK as a Systems Engineer, specifically supporting the internal research and development programmes currently in place and the development of future areas of study.
The role will be based at Raytheon's Harlow facility.
Main Duties:
The successful applicant will participate in specific areas of study that are focused on the development of novel technologies from low TRL through the product lifecycle. This would include qualification, production and capability enhancements.
A key area of focus will be modelling and simulation.
There will be opportunities to form strategic alliances with other Defence Contractors in order to execute the role. As such, the successful candidate shall be expected to provide a technical interface with potential team-mates / suppliers.

Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Degree in an engineering (or related) subject and possess a good grounding in maths / physics
•The successful candidate shall be experienced in modelling and simulation e.g. MATLAB, Simulink (desirable), and have general programming skills.
•Experience in Systems Engineering and its application including requirements capture and generation of test specifications and test reports
•A proven problem solver with strong technical and analytical ability
•Experience of analysing and reporting on technical data
•Be prepared to work away from Harlow for up to 3 days per fortnight
•UK national without dual nationality

Desirable:

•FPGA/VHDL experience
•Experience in generic Systems Architecture, Sys ML and DOORS
•Experience at presenting technical data to Stakeholders.
•Knowledge of the certification process as part of the overall system lifecycle.
•Experience of planning, estimating and defining engineering tasks
