The Team:
The team is part of the Risk Consulting Practice in KPMG, one of the key areas identified for major investment and growth. Our clients need to deal effectively with technology related risks and derive maximum value from their investment in security systems and technology. Our specialists provide independent, jargon-free advice and advanced technology capabilities to help our clients proactively manage their technology risks and use their data to its full potential.

The Role:
The role will be working in the cyber security team as a competent security consultant within the Cyber Strategy, Transformation, Risk & Governance capability responsible for assessing, developing and delivering complex and innovative solutions whilst reducing reputational, operational, financial and other risks for our clients. As a Security Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work across all of the service lines and to deliver on key client projects.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the sales and business development activities
- Management and delivery of security related assurance and advisory services to clients
- Developing constructive client relationships, both inside and outside of KPMG
- Developing an understanding of KPMG's broader offerings to enable identification of business opportunities
- Being a role model for risk and engagement management practices
- Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge
- Performance management of junior staff

The Person:

Skills & Experience:

- Ability to identify and assess complex information protection risks and controls, having delivered on Cyber Risk Models or Cyber Risk Reporting
- Experience in delivering large complex strategy & transformation programmes understanding client complexity, business strategy and change
- Understands and delivers cyber risk key controls & compliance for large organisations
- Experience of managing and delivering large, complex cyber security engagements in a number of market sectors (FS, Energy, Utilities etc).
- Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering information security services in a commercial environment, on time and to budget.
- Proven experience in business analysis and understanding of cyber security principles, standards, processes and technologies across a broad range of markets.
- Clear and demonstrable understanding of security, risk and IT standards, policies and frameworks.
- Proven experience of producing high quality deliverables working alone and as part of a team.
