Job Brief
This is an excellent opportunity to work within an exciting aerospace training environment . The Technical Lead for Training Services will be responsible for the implementation of training governance used within the Airborne ISR Business. The successful candidate will help create strategy, guide others in implementing internal administration and training solutions provided to our customers. They will be encouraged to propose innovative solutions to the many training needs across the diverse Airborne ISR programmes and support their implementation. Reporting to the Head of Training, they will have management responsibility for the Training Administration team and lead the development, planning and execution of all Raytheon training procedures as well as being providing direct support in the pursuit of new business opportunities.

With excellent communication and organisational skills, the ideal candidate will be well-versed in typical departmental procedures and policies and will be able to actively discover new ways to do the job more efficiently. This role offers an ideal opportunity for professional development and take previous skills into the aerospace training environment.

Although based at RAF Waddington, the successful candidate will also be part of the growing Airborne ISR Team which delivers aviation engineering expertise across a wide range of projects to both military and civil customers worldwide.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to ensure all technical support activities are carried on efficiently and effectively to allow the other operations to function properly.
  • Contributing to smooth business operations.
  • Contributing to the development of training services capability, quality processes and financial success.
  • PI and KPI monitoring and reporting.
  • Contributing to excellent customer relations.
  • Increase the operating efficiency of the administration team by the continual development, review and evaluation of systems and procedures.
  • Owns technological solutions to implement designs made for our services such as content translation and management.
  • Plans and coordinates administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes.
  • Assists the Head of Training in the analysis of training to meet the Client's needs and objectives.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to administration staff on behalf of the Head of Training.
  • Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the business to facilitate other operations.
  • As Line Manager for the Administration Team, organise and supervise other office and engineering associated administration activities.
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.
  • Keep abreast with all organisational changes and support new business developments.
  • Liaising with National and International service providers and other relevant third parties.
  • Preparation of estimates of expenditure.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in administration.
  • Understanding of office management of personal data.
  • Familiarity with financial and management principles.
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly with MS Word and MS Excel skills where the construction and provision of statistical data analysis is required.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • A diligent team player.
  • Results driven.
  • Self-starter and ready to learn.
  • Understanding of Customer relations.
  • Willingness to travel and work at other Raytheon approved sites or customer locations.
  • The role holder may from time to time be required to undertake reasonable additional or other duties as is necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Desirable Requirements
  • Line Management experience.
  • Recent experience within a training environment or working with the UK MoD.
  • Knowledge of UK MoD Training Quality Management System (QMS) and EASA147/Pt 66, FAA/CAA governance.
