ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, this role covers the responsibilities detailed below and involves extensive liaison with Finance teams both across the EMEIA Region and in Tokyo.

The ideal candidate will be a strong management accountant and communicator, who works effectively in a team environment to tight deadlines. The candidate will also be keen to gain exposure in a central function, with extensive exposure to a wide range of colleagues around the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



The responsibilities of the Group Reporting Assistant fall broadly in to the categories shown below.

FINANCIAL REPORTING
-• Assist in the preparation of financial statements - including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and notes to the accounts - for FSH plc and all of its active UK subsidiaries.
-• Preparation of supporting schedules requested by our external auditors.
-• Liaison with Bid teams for provision of financial accounting information required by the bid process.
-• Collaborate with HFM Helpdesk to ensure compliance of HFM data structures with statutory reporting and IFRS requirements.

MANAGEMENT REPORTING & CONSOLIDATION - FSH GROUP
-• Review of actual and budget submissions from Service Lines and countries within Fujitsu Services Holdings plc (FSH) Group (broadly comprising UK&I and Nordic sub-regions).
-• Communication with Finance teams around the FSH business to understand key transactions.
-• Ownership of key processes in the HFM consolidation timetable and outputs (including ConsA, ConsB and Management Pack), both at month end and during preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts.
-• Ownership of the Intercompany matching process for internal and external reporting.
-• Develop a good understanding of and assume responsibility for posting Group adjustment & consolidation entries.
-• Preparation of the monthly consolidated Flash Report.
-• Assist in the improvement of current processes around reporting, reviewing and entering information in the HFM system.
-• Provision of data to External Auditors and responses to audit questions during quarterly external audits.
-• Support the Group Reporting Manager as appropriate for ad hoc requests and projects.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:



-• Typically 2-3 year experience in General Ledger processes or Group Accounting processes
-• Fluent English
-• Good understanding of Accounting and Consolidation processes and process improvement
-• HFM & Smartview experience preferable, but not essential.
-• Strong communication skills.
-• Excellent time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.
-• Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
-• Intermediate MS Excel and word skills.
-• Studying towards an accountant qualification
-• SSC experience is an advantage
