Summary of Role:
The Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (AR&M), Engineer is responsible for delivering engineering support within Airborne ISR based at Waddington, responsible to the ILS Manager at Waddington. This position requires sound knowledge and experience of ILS AR&M disciplines to act as the interface between the product and the support solution, during bids and in service phases.

Main Duties:
The AR&M Engineer will be part of an expanding ILS department and report to the ILS Manager at Waddington. This role is ideally suited to an experienced AR&M engineer with proven experience in both Military and/or Civil aircraft. The role offers an exciting challenge in supporting Airborne ISR programmes with responsibilities for:

• Performing AR&M analysis work, encompassing but not limited to LORA, FMECA & RCM to support bids and in service.
• Generation of in service Quarterly Reliability Reports.
• FRACAS Codification.
• Representing Support Services / Attending Design Reviews.
• Fault / repair trend analysis and reports including recommendations.
• Supporting RCM activities as appropriate (JAP(D)100C-22 for Military Aircraft).
• Providing mentoring and guidance on all aspects of reliability and engineering to the reliability assistant.
• Providing fault repair trend analysis reports & Reliability Predictions (MIL-HDBK-217F) to both internal and external customers.
• Ensure that AR&M contractual requirements are met.
• Familiar with the requirements of Military Reliability and ILS (DEF STANs 00-40, 00-41, 00-42, 00-43).
• Sound communication skills with sub-contractors, customer and team.
• Presentation of data and reports to both team and customer.
• Attend Customer Programme, Design and ILS Reviews; to ensure ILS project drivers are fully understood, considered and the impacts of any associated risks are reduced.
• Ensuring that all ILS activities undertaken under your control are conducted in accordance with Raytheon UK site procedures that reflects best practice, and are in accordance with Raytheon UK and MAA procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

• An engineering background, educated to HNC level or previous related experience.
• Experience of using or working with LITs data & RAF 700 Series.
• Supportability engineering skills to analyse the product supportability to develop and deliver a support solution. To include LORA, FMECA and RCM experience.
• A high level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience of reliability report generation.
• Comprehensive understanding of standards and guidance relating to ILS activities.
• Flexibility to travel to support meetings.
• Eligible for or Holder of current SC Clearance (RSL will sponsor as required)

Desirable:

• Well developed planning and organisational abilities.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Availability Modelling Tools.
• Understanding of military aircraft design regulations.
