Summary of Role:

As an Engineering Graduate you will join our established two-year Graduate Leadership Development Programme. This will provide you with personal development skills, networking opportunities and an enjoyable learning environment. As an Engineering Graduate you will receive additional structured Engineering training to improve your technical abilities and job specific training as necessary.

We have multiple sites across the UK and are opening new locations. There will be the opportunity to visit other UK sites and there may also be possibility to attend our US facilities. Raytheon is growing and expanding our Engineering capabilities into new innovative areas and technologies.
What to expect:

You will be given an Engineering position on a programme where you will be able to make an immediate impact. In your first few days and weeks, you'll get to grips with real challenges, on projects that cross a range of disciplines where you will be able to actively network with Engineers and other company functions.

Summary of Role:

  • Our Electronics Engineering group capabilities enable us to support all the other Engineering functions across the Raytheon product portfolio

We provide expertise to:
  • Derive product requirements
  • Model concepts and assess feasibility of solutions
  • Generate detailed designs for solutions (concepts, prototypes and full production)
  • Design and implement test solutions
  • Test and commission products and systems


Main Duties:

  • The nature of this role will involve supporting the electronics development of new products and concepts.
  • Our product portfolio includes: Navigation systems, ATMS and IFF RADAR systems, Power supply and motor control products
  • Our Electronics engineering capabilities include modelling, design, analysis and test including: RF (Antennas, Transmitters and Receivers), Analogue Power (power supplies and converters), Test Solutions (for products and systems).
  • We utilise industry standard toolsets such as Mentor, AWR Microwave Office, CST, and Mathcad to capture and analyse electrical designs.
  • AgilentVEE/LabVIEW for test solution development

Graduate Leadership Development Programme Training:
During the first 2 years, in addition to your main role, you'll be assigned various modules to support your career development. These range from business skills to team building activities.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • 2:1 or above undergraduate degree (Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
  • Pre university qualifications equivalent to 120 UCAS points new system or 300 UCAS points old system
  • Ability to relocate to different UK sites and relocate during the role if required

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within Engineering development or multi-disciplined project engineering teams to deliver complete systems or products into operational service.
  • A flexible and adaptable individual who can deploy their fundamental engineering skills across a wide range of programmes
  • A logical problem solver who can operate effectively under stretching time scales and high workload demands
  • Sound understanding of the Engineering lifecycle, and of relevant toolsets
  • A process-oriented engineer who both seeks out and develops best practice.
  • An interest in RF/Analogue Design.
