Role summary
 
We are looking to grow our team of account managers and sales professionals within the Central Government Client Group. The Central Government Client Group includes large central government departments, transport infrastructure organisations and key local government clients.
 
These are key roles and will work with the existing account management, sales and pre-sales team to identify and win opportunities that deliver profitable growth in a way that meets our clients' needs and satisfies our high standards of business conduct.
 
You will probably have a consultancy, delivery, development, integration or sales background with knowledge of data, digital or cyber and demonstrable experience of the central government or transport infrastructure markets.
 
The roles we are seeking to fill mean that you are likely to be an experienced account manager or sales person and you will already have experience of identifying and winning opportunities within Government and Transport.

What you'll be doing
 
  • Identify, qualify, shape, prioritise and win opportunities that enable us to achieve order intake targets with appropriate win-loss rates.
  • Shape, develop and implement account plans to manage client relationships, develop intimacy and generate propositions and proposals that lead to sales pipeline growth and achievement of order intake targets.
  • Work within a matrix environment, collaboratively within the account and operations team and with pre-sales, consultancy, engineering and project management, commercial and finance specialists to lead the development of value-adding proposals that address our clients' challenges.
  • Manage the closure of orders with support from our commercial team.
  • Providing post-sale management to ensure client expectations are met and high-levels of client satisfaction are achieved, working alongside our delivery teams and having an interest in the detail of delivery to help identify and shape further opportunities.
  • Engender our 'one company' brand and view to the client account; partnering with leaders and teams across the organisation to delight our clients and generate high levels of client satisfaction.
 
What we're looking for
 
  • Previous experience as an account manager or salesperson.
  • Very good client facing skills with the aptitude to build long term client relationships, ideally with experience from the government and / or transport infrastructure sector.
  • Knowledge and expertise to utilise the entire suite of company solutions within our data, digital and cyber offerings.
  • An individual who will promote customer intimacy by supporting an inclusive culture that is open to change, innovation and growth and will also work with colleagues across Applied Intelligence to combine and leverage best practice, industry trends and experience to achieve the best outcome for the customer.
  • A high degree of enthusiasm for making a difference for our clients.
  • Good organisational and team working skills.
  • Very high levels of written and verbal communication skills to write and present winning bids.
  • Ability to prioritise and help others prioritise.
  • For the more junior roles the aptitude to confidently engage with clients, actively listen and learn how to pursue orders through a client's procurement process.
  • For the more senior roles a track record of winning both small and large opportunities (within consulting, system integration, software development or service management) with experience of shaping strategic bids end-to-end; from win theme planning through to shaping solutions to enable pricing to win and of pitching and negotiation the final deal.
