Cloud Security Architect

My client and organisation based in the city are actively looking for a cloud security architect to take ownership for their security strategy, in the cloud. You will be providing direction and support to the design and delivery to the companies Azure-based cloud platform. You will be working within the wider architecture team, which are responsible for developing the cloud security strategy, road maps, patterns, standards and solution designs.

The company that you will be working for is undergoing a large migration program, they are transitioning applications and infrastructure across to AWS and are already 18 months into the program. They have completed some of the migration, however they are now looking for an individual who has migrated security operations into the cloud who can take the lead on this project.

Experience:

  • Security Architecture, with experience working on a cloud development program.
  • A vast amount of experience in a Security Architect role, a portion of which will need to have been Cloud focused
  • Experience in designing solutions based on Amazon Web Services, including: IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Extensive knowledge of core Azure services and their security features.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging Cloud related technologies and processes (containers, CI/CD, DevSecOps)
  • Secure development lifecycle methodologies, especially in application to Agile and Digital environments

Skills:

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Cloud Formation)
  • Building highly-available, geographically-distributed, dynamically scalable, API-driven services
  • Security hardening and vulnerability management of AMI and container hosts, and integration highly automated processes into SDLC and build pipelines.
  • Cloud certifications (ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional,)
  • Ability to manage the details of compliance with policies, standards and industry frameworks
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with senior business management and peers
  • Strong business and technical process design and documentation skills
