Security Strategy & Transformation Consultant

Are you a security guru who loves a challenge? We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Security Strategy Consultant to lead a Security Transformation Program. Your Role

We are looking for individuals passionate about Security, with strong technical skills, along with a solid understanding of cyber security, its impact on the business, and its value in business risk management.

The Security Strategy & Transformation Consultant will lead the Transformation Program, working hand in hand with the CISO to define an action plan/roadmap to both improve the security basics and to grow in maturity. You will assist and enable securing customer systems in relation to their organization ecosystems by analysing and translating business requirements into control objectives and documenting security controls within customized policies.

Delivery

  • You will lead technical part in consultancy projects assigned related with security technologies and services (MSIEM, VMS, AV, Threat Hunting, IAM, etc.) and assume activities related with management, while ensuring the process is properly executed and requirements are met. Special focus on transformation/optimization, specially over strategy outsourcing contracts. This will require set up relationships with different kind of stakeholders (customer, IBMers, suppliers) and capacity to develop adequate process, services catalogs and team structures
  • Extensive track record in delivering large-scale, complex and multi-year security transformation programs / projects in various capacities (e.g. program director, program manager, senior technical lead, chief architect)
  • Working with global and local teams, help organize project approaches and teams for client delivery
  • Participate in project delivery, to varying degrees depending on project complexity and geography needs
  • Help resolve program issues as they arise with senior leadership
  • Good understanding of Cloud architecture and industry standards are required
  • Establish strong client relationships in key accounts to help progress the Security Services portfolio

Essential skills:

  • Extensive and deep experience in security services business management
  • understanding of all security services domains, on security strategy, roadmap planning, project implementation and managed services
  • Deep knowledge and experience in all or most of the security domains: identity and access management, endpoint, data security and privacy, threat management, incident response, read team testing
  • Sound experience in sales and good connections with the security community in Spain, especially with the CISO’s in banks, utilities, telcos, public sector, etc.

Desirable skills:

  • Deep understanding of the client’s security business and issues
  • Experienced in resource management, rates and cost management, P&L management
  • Leverages selling/sales support and solutioning skills, along with strong client-facing skills
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrates IBM leadership competencies with emphasis on collaborative working
  • Understands and influences business controls and audit readiness
  • In-depth industry/process/solution/delivery knowledge to enhance delivery capabilities
  • Knowledge and experience managing very complex projects, with X-LoB delivery and/or international deployment
  • Experience in Energy & Utilities Sector

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • At least 10 years of experience developing similar role and minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pure Project Management.
  • Required Security background specially related with infrastructures and technologies.
  • Recognized security certifications will be preferred.
  • Capacity to lead teams to take care of service focused on security management, assuming project management activities.
  • Bachelor’s in engineering or similar technical background. The successful candidate will employ key skills in leadership, project management, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills. You will develop the understanding of IBM's suite of compliance and security tools/processes as well as Agile methodologies.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Preferred ITIL, ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership skills, proactive.
  • Team player.
  • This position is in Barcelona (Spain).
