Role Purpose

The role holder manages large system development projects or a portfolio. The role holder at this level exhibits strategic management and leadership skills at the highest levels and in a wide variety of contexts. Is able to understand, explain and present complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to board level in a persuasive and convincing manner.
Key Accountabilities

• Manages large multi-disciplinary teams concerned with formulation of strategy and policy to deliver system development programmes to customers reliably and consistently.
• Responsible for the choice of development methods, standards and tools to ensure that the customer solution adheres to best practice within the constraints of the development environment (e.g. budget, resources and customer's preferred modus operandi).
• Identifies risks and mitigation for project.
• Responsible for determining strategy and direction for training and development for Fujitsu to ensure that the advancement of the Group's IT skills are aligned with the customers' current and future requirements.
• Communicates the potential impact and exploitation of emerging technologies on organizations to stimulate potential revenue bearing opportunities.
• Responsible for the delivery of significant areas of the customer solution.
• Advocates utilization and evolution of Fujitsu processes and policies.
• Proposes technical solutions within the scope of his/her own technical expertise to customers to ensure the quality in that area of the customer solution.
• Typically writes, collates and is responsible for large scale proposals and bids, of which some work packages will be undertaken by others. This may also include responses to change requests. Plays lead role in preparing for and gaining sign off of proposals/change requests.

Key Performance Indicators

• Policies and procedures in place, adhered to and auditable within own organization. Inputs in to Fujitsu process and policy formation.
• The customer solution is delivered in accordance with Fujitsu processes and policies. Selection, utilization of and adherence to the appropriate process and policies can be demonstrated.
• Ensures Fujitsu' skills profile meets the current and future market needs in appropriate technology disciplines.
• Engages in promotion of strategic decisions on technical direction and business opportunity.
• Development of the customer solution on time, to budget and in accordance with agreed standards.
• Fujitsu processes and policy applied throughout own organization. Fujitsu processes and policies refreshed in line with best practice.
• Development of quality customer software and solutions. Customer satisfaction.
• Contributions to bids and proposals are recognized by the Business.
