Job Purpose

A member of the Quality Team supporting the procurement, production assembly & test and delivery of quality compliant products and services

To support RSL Configuration and data Management by establishing and maintaining the integrity of work product.

Nature and Scope

Verify data that is produced by manufacturing complies with Customer requirements - check data collects recorded in VM (Visiprise Management ) match templates and Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI's).

Produce and Verify documents are to Customer requirements and maintain build history throughout all stages.

Create and publish data packages required for Customer buy off - use various systems to produce files that detail build.

Assist QA with Customer Buy Offs - provide support to QA function with pre CSI (Customer Source Inspection) checks and other general support during Customer visits.

Interfacing and communicating with program and functional areas to support the goals of the business.

Ensuring integrity of products, materials and processes to satisfy business, customer and regulatory requirements.

Administer Configuration and Data Management in support of allocated company contracts in line with, RSL Standard Processes and practices, the requirements of customers and as required by relevant program security requirements.

Assist in the Population and Maintenance of company MRP system to support program requirements as required - Action Internal ECNs (Engineering Change Notes).

Assist in the creation and maintenance of program baselines (as appropriate) - Control files stored in Rshare.

Establish and maintain the Configuration Control Board ( CCB ) in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan (CMP), the Configuration Control and CCB Procedure and customer requirements, as required.

Create and Maintain various program specific spreadsheets, data bases, reports and metrics relating to CM (Configuration Management ).

Create, Maintain and Store appropriate program historical build data - support manufacturing when required.

To proactively participate in process improvements via the use of Raytheon Six Sigma Principles and feedback to the relevant improvement groups.


Provide input to business bids and proposals when required.

Knowledge of SAP/VM is useful but training will be given.

Education and Experience


1 yr experience within Manufacturing and/or Quality/Engineering organisation.

Administration experience



Competent in use of Microsoft Office

Self starter, requires minimal supervision

Ability to work to timescales and meet requirements

Good time management skills

Team Player, willing to offer help and input into discussions

Flexible and open to diverse opinions & ideas

Organised, can plan and prioritise workload.

Good communicator - written, verbal and listening skills.

Reliable and conscientious

Proactive approach to risk reduction, to identify and assist prevent & resolve issues and remove non value add processes.
