Ankura has a highly successful and growing Global Data & Technology practice and in order to support our client’s effectively, we are seeking to hire an existing management consultant at manager or senior manager level from one of the Big 4 management consulting firms. You will join as Senior Director, to help support our new and on-going e-discovery engagements in EMEA.

We are seeking an existing management consultant to help manage and support on major clients engagements as well as take a leading operational role in managing and supporting delivery across the D&T business.   We are seeking individuals with a strong technical project manager background, superior people management & relationship skills, and will have a management consulting background.  

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on delivering high quality data preparation and processing capabilities.
  • Take ownership of our requirement to deliver high volume data processing, while maintaining timely delivery schedules and error free results;
  • Perform and manage multiple concurrent engagements, while ensuring quality and internal/external customer service is of the highest level;
  • Maintain and develop our standard operation procedures, data intake, and data processing workflows;
  • Continually assess the suitability of existing and emerging technology, in order to complement and/or replace as required;
  • Maintain a current understanding of e-commerce data formats and how best to prepare / process these for legal review;
  • Manage the finances of each engagement including developing, documenting, and tracking project budgets, adjusting budgets as appropriate, communicating changes in budgets internally and to the client, and managing the revenue forecasting and invoicing process
  • Review and discuss expectations, anticipated scope of work, and project timeline with client and Ankura team
  • Work with and manage client vendors or other consulting firms, including quality reviewing work product
  • Manage risk throughout engagement by evaluating quality control measures and documentation throughout engagement, strategising to fix mistakes, communicating challenges, and escalating issues internally to Managing Directors, as appropriate
  • Provide clients and Ankura Managing Directors and Senior Managing Directors with periodic status updates, reports, etc. throughout the engagement
  • Mentor, lead, and delegate tasks to junior grade colleagues to support their training and professional development with the goal of creating an exciting leveraged, team environment that offers challenging opportunities and support to all employees and is poised for continued expansion and success
  • Develop business development skills and contribute to the sales process by building relationships with current and potential future clients, demonstrating firm technology to potential clients, and providing supporting documentation, including proposals and cost estimates, regarding our offerings
  • Demonstrate business development acumen via networking and other business development activities, showcasing the ability to convert networking relationships to sales leads and ultimately, new revenue
  • Increase revenue on current engagements by identifying opportunities to cross sell services offered by Data Analytics and Digital Solutions & Development teams

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, CIS, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Mathematics
  • Significant experience gained in the Big 4 Management Consulting firms overseeing data collections and electronic discovery
  • Worked at another global consulting firm
  • Advanced decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of project managing complex client projects
  • Strong people management skills
  • Ability to review SQL statements/Scripts
  • Ability to interact confidently with senior management and lawyers/partners
  • Experience of business development and ability to identify on-sell opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and tasks around intense deadlines for clients who work in a time-sensitive 24x7 industry
  • Experience with eDiscovery, cyber, privacy and/or structured data.
  • Experience with analytics, litigation readiness, and predictive coding
