About the role

Cyber Security Consultant of 15+ years (German or Spanish speaking - business proficient)

Our Private Equity clients have a need to carry out cyber security assessments of their portfolio companies.These assessments are business risk driven, meaning that their primary purpose is to determine if a cyber incident would have a significant impact on the ability to deliver business strategy.They are absolutely not a box ticking exercise!

To deliver these assessments, and other cyber consultancy work, we are looking for cyber security consultants with 15+ years cyber security and risk experience.You should be extremely articulate, have worked regularly with C-level stakeholders, and posses a deep and wide knowledge of cyber security domains, both technical and non-technical.

Duties and responsibilities:

Representing Nicolson Bray in the delivery of business-driven cyber security assessments on mid-market companies.

Your key tasks will include:

• Engaging with C-level sponsors to outline assessment approach, and obtain senior level buy in
• Meet with key business stakeholders to identify and understand strategic cyber business risks within the company
• Deriving technology and process control sets to mitigate these risks
• Assessing the technology and process landscape against these controls
• Assessing the organisation and governance frameworks
• Carrying out critical system / application deep dives
• Reviewing the security infrastructure of the organisation
• Working closely with technical teams to derive risk mitigation roadmaps
• Making organisational and governance recommendations
• Writing best of breed reports for Board level presentation

Skills and experience

Essential

• 15+ years solid Information Security / IT Security / Cyber Security experience
• German or Spanish speaking (business proficient)
• First rate communicator
• C-level engagements
• Broad and deep knowledge across many cyber security domains
• Experienced carrying out organisational, infrastructure and application cyber security assessments
• Excellent understanding of cyber security risk assessment and management, most likely through having implemented risk frameworks are some point in your career
