Security Operations Analyst

What you’ll be doing…

Working as part of the wider Security team, the Security Operations Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Security Operations Manager in ensuring the uptime, reliability and effectiveness of our security operations processes and technologies. They would also assist on the response to new security threats, including the investigation of possible breaches affecting Debenhams customers, systems and information.

The key responsibilities would be to:

• Assist the Security Operations Manager ensuring security products and services are implemented correctly, and that Debenhams security policies and operational procedures are followed appropriately
• Participate in the information security incident response/management process which may include triage, investigation (including log analysis), response and mitigation
• Support the undertaking of regular vulnerability tests of Debenhams infrastructure and applications, and ensuring the relevant findings are recorded and ownership for remediation assigned and actioned
• Assist in developing an optimised Log Collection and Event Correlation environment, through the analysis of alerts and potential threats, and proposing improvements
• Update reports, dashboards, and metrics for security operations
• Create and maintain strong relationships with technology stakeholders and peers, ensuring security operations and associated ownership are understood
• Work with our Digital Teams to ensure that security is considered as part of new product and application deployment
• Work closely with the Debenhams Service Delivery Team and outsourced partners, providing support and guidance in regards to both potential and identified cyber security incidents
• Work with the rest of the security team to develop, drive and implement the overall cyber security strategy
• Work with both internal and external operational teams, in order to provide seamless transition and operation of new security products and services
