This is an exciting opportunity for an information security specialist to join the Intelligence and Information Directorate within the City of London Police. The role of the Information Security Analyst is to maintain technical security monitoring, review and assess of security controls ensuring they are an appropriate fit with the organizational risk appetite; analyze and evaluate technical standards, security tools and applications deployed; produce security operating procedures for force systems.

Our department has a strong, integrated information management vision in which information assurance plays a big part. To join us, you’ll need to be a confident and influential communicator, with substantial relevant experience.

The ideal Information Security Analyst will be familiar with the concepts of a Security Operations Centre and demonstrate competence in the use of technical tools to monitor IT security controls, the technical ability to analyze security product output and provide concise and factual reports. 

Candidates ideally will hold a relevant qualification such as Certificate in Information Security Management Principles (CISMP), degree in Information /IT Security or equivalent and be able to demonstrate knowledge of ISO27000 Information Security Management System and application, preferably gained in a Police ICT environment.

Salary: £42,180 – 47,460 (inclusive of London Weighting and Specialist Supplemental Allowance) + benefits including employee discount scheme and local government pension.
