Job Profile

BAE Systems Applied Intelligence is looking for Business Analysts to and Lead Business Analysts to work across our range of clients in the National Security and Government sector supporting the development and delivery of new, cutting edge products. We are looking for an individual with agile scrum experience to undertake customer requirements capture, Jira managements and team engagement. Successful candidates will need to be able to work effectively as part of an agile team.

What you will be doing

As a Business Analyst you will lead on the management of the agile scrum Jira backlog. This will involve management of the Jira tool, liaising with the customer and the development team to ensure Jira stories are fully elaborated and understood. You will gain knowledge of our customers and the solutions we offer.

What we are looking for

    Experience of working in an agile scrum model; Experience with the Jira tool is a nice to have but on-the-job training can be provided; Demonstrable experience of writing Epics and User Stories with associated acceptance criteria; Experience in working with customers and developers to elaborate requirements Excellent client facing skills and evidence of continued career progression; A passion for your chosen specialist field with knowledge of latest thinking; An ability to work collaboratively with challenging clients; Demonstrable experience of gathering and documenting business requirements, including planning and leading workshops; Full project and development lifecycle experience, from requirements capture and design through to supporting the testing and delivery; Experience in the use of formal structured methodologies and representation methods (e.g. UML and use cases, BPM, root cause analysis); Ability to articulate technology in terms that stakeholders can understand and the understanding of the impact of change on the business and providing necessary support; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and able to communicate confidently and effectively at any level of the organisation.

Specific current requirements

In addition to ongoing demand for Business Analysts with the skills and competencies listed above, we have particular current demand for candidates who currently hold the highest level of Security Clearance, or are eligible to gain this clearance.
