We are looking to grow our team with committed people to deliver the IBM Mainframe service to a well known customer.

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Computer Operator to join the organization on a permanent basis at our customer office in Wellingborough. This key role sits within the Data Centre Operations Team and is responsible for running and monitoring all Batch schedules.

The successful candidate will need knowledge of operating multiple platform systems, including some of the following: IBM mainframe, I series and P series as well as experience of operating within a Datacentre environment although some initial training will be provided.

As well as ensuring successful processing of the batch applications, the role includes handling incident escalation at a technical level, implementing changes to batch schedules and ensuring delivery of service to the account, whilst also carrying out media handling activities within the Datacentre. The role requires that the candidate to work the existing shift pattern for which a shift allowance is payable.
