Role summary

As Information Security Analyst / Officer, you will be working within the Information Security function to provide operational and assurance based support in line with established policy and procedures to support the company. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin or build upon a career within InfoSec, with training and development opportunities available.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the head of function in activities to maintain compliance with Applied Intelligence policy, BAES standards, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and other legal, regulatory and company controls.
  • Support the head of function in monitoring, scanning, assessment and reporting upwards, Information Security vulnerabilities and threat intelligence such as, but not limited to; malware, patching issues, lack of security software/hardware, Code of Connection, APT, viruses, worms, targeted/non-targeted network intrusion, and other information security vulnerabilities.
  • Assist the head of function in providing Information Security Assurance reviews and suppler assessments reviews.
  • Assist head of function in network vulnerability scanning and annual penetration testing of all corporate unclassified networks and classified (where appropriate).
  • Support head of function in the promotion and provision of security awareness for the company.
  • Assist the head of function in the collation of master records of all Information Security-related incidents to provide reporting and on-going metrics for trend analysis to drive security strategies.
  • Assist the head of function in providing regional information security support and services.
  • Reporting responsibilities as directed by the Head of Information Security.

What we're looking for
  • Keen interest and motivation to progress a career in Information Security
  • STEM subject background at A-Level or higher education is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, communication and presentation skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Able to gain UK Enhanced DV
  • A basic understanding in the basic fundamentals of:
  • WEB security (OWASP)
  • Malware protection
  • Virtualization (VMWare)
  • Web Filtering and monitoring
  • Data Leakage Prevention
  • Vulnerability
