Your new role
A senior legal advisor role within the organisation's transactions team, encompassing technology, commercial and data protection orientated work. In a team of senior lawyers, you will work to ensure business critical transactions are completed successfully to continually influence the company's digital outlook. You will negotiate key contracts, including, cloud, licensing, Software-as-a-Service and large outsourcing agreements. on the data side of the role, you will advise in relation to cyber and data breaches across the wider group, or GDPR and e-commerce related matters, coordinating with stakeholders across different entities. You will consider the bigger picture when advising the business, using your significant commercial acumen and stakeholder management ability.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK or Common Law qualified lawyer with 5+ PQE (as a guide), and ideally a commercial background in technology matters, from reputable law firms and/or in-house teams. You will have proven experience in negotiating relevant commercial technology agreements, including SaaS, cloud, outsourcing and licensing matters, while also having exposure to data privacy and intellectual property matters. The softer commercial skills to be able to manage situations, projects and stakeholders will be key to this role, as you will frequently be interacting with senior leadership figures. Customer side market experience will be particularly attractive.
