The role
Westminster are seeking to invest in a talented IT Security Analyst who is looking to develop their career within IT and Information Security. As an enthusiastic and passionate IT security Analyst you will monitor and manage the operation of security enforcing systems across the University.

You will help the Data Security Manager to raise the awareness and importance of information security across the University and help improve adherence to IT security policies, operational procedures and security related service management processes. You will key in supporting security incident management, vulnerability management, information security investigations and audits, supervision of 3rd party vendors and associated project work.

Your profile

• A qualification in Information Security (CISSP, MSc Information Security) would be desirable
• Experience of working in and IT/ Information Security focused role within a large complex multi site environment with knowledge of COBIT and ISO 27001
• Experience of IT Security principles within cloud-based services such as SAAS would be advantageous

• Exposure to integration and firewalls including network traffic, PKI and web server security is desirable
• Any experience with vulnerability assessments, log analysis, network mapping tools, penetration testing, and content filtering systems would be beneficial

Communication

• You will be a self-motivated individual who is able to be adaptable and flexible and able to adjust to a new situations and environments
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with a logical and pragmatic approach to tasks
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users
