The role
Westminster are seeking to invest in a talented Network Engineer who is looking to develop their experience across a large complex environment, supporting Data, Wireless and Voice Networks. Working with the wider networks team you will be support the day to day operation, configuration and installation of the University's, network, cabling, telephony and security infrastructure.

Your profile
  • Network certification including CCNA
  • A strong technical background across wireless, voice and data networks including configuration, support and network problem resolution
  • Strong knowledge of data networking protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS and an understanding of network security principles
  • Strong experience support and managing routers, switches (HP) and firewalls (Palo Alto would be desirable)
  • Experience of acting in a 2nd and 3rd line support capacity across a range of network and telephony technologies.
  • Strong customer service focused Network Engineer and passionate about improving user experience and services

  • You will be a self-motivated individual who is able to be adaptable and flexible and able to adjust to a new situations and environments
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with a logical and pragmatic approach to tasks
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users
