About you

We're ideally looking for someone with:

  • Either linux server administration or network engineering experience
  • Knowledge of data networks and communications
  • Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures


About the role

As one of our security engineers, you will be part of the team that modernises and automates our new and existing services. You'll have the opportunity to share and implement great ideas to revolutionise our systems and make them more secure (including our own Janet Network).

The Janet Network is the busiest National Research and Education Network (NREN) in Europe, carrying over 1.5 PBytes of information annually.

Location

This role will be based in Harwell.

Connecting with each other is a doddle, thanks to our technology, but getting face to face is something we value and find time for when we can, so you may need to travel on occasion. Our main offices are in Bristol, Harwell, London and Manchester.
