Network Security Consultant- Reading/Home Based

Senior Network Security Engineer – Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto,  Firewalls,Proxies,IDS/IPS

Outsource UK’s Cyber Team are looking to hire a number of Network Security Architects at L3 level You will be based with customers, and will have proven hands on design experience with Firewalls, integrating into client environments.

Key skills

You will have a breadth of experience with firewalls including Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Sourcefire (now know as Firesight) Juniper, Bluecoat, F5 (LTM & GTM)

You will have broad security experience including Bluecoat proxies and Cloud Security, and will have experience building, maintaining and reviewing all configurations, settings and policies.

You will be customer facing, but still need to be hands on technical. For more senior level candidates, you will be able to work with the customers to translate the high level requirements and to design the solutions for the customer.

You will need to have worked in silo on projects, and have delivered projects with customers, that has included network design. Typically there is a need to manage the client and work with other service suppliers.

They look for a reasonably broad skillset - need a breadth of experience and to be a generalist. These are multi-vendor positions - they do use Palo Alto but they arent exclusive to just one vendor.  You will have worked with 2-3 technologies, and will have experience of pushing the firewalls to do more – be able to integrate firewalls.

Candidates can be home based with office locations of London or Reading but you can be home based as much or as little as you like. Clients are London, M4 Corridor and up to Warwick, so there would be a need to go on client sites as required (although travel isn’t extensive)

The client is offering a good salary and an excellent salary and benefits package, including a 12% bonus, plus other benefits.
