Embedded Hardware Engineer

Have you maintained and prototyped hardware? Have you worked on high performing embedded systems? Do you have experience with ECAD systems? If so, we want to hear from you urgently.

Seeking an experienced hardware engineer at a Cambridge based firm. In this technical and exciting role, you will regularly prototype hardware platforms, maintain and implement hardware, and propose enhancements to product maintenance. You’ll also be responsible for:

- Developing technical product and domain knowledge

- Testing hardware for system demos

- Planning work together with the engineering team

- Encouraging the activities of other hardware team members

You’ll be improving new and existing hardware, so it is essential that you have:


- Worked on high performance embedded systems

- Knowledge of analogue, RF, electro-mechanical and mechanical engineering

- Awareness of micro controller development and low power design techniques

- Worked on products with high speed memory devices, DSP’s, and 32- or 64-bit processors

- Exposure to ECAD systems, such as Altiums

- Knowledge of engineering processes and standards

- Understanding of design for manufacture, test and support
