Software Engineer - Gloucester - up to £55k DoE
InfoSec People are seeking highly capable Software Engineers to join a talented team working in the field of Cyber and Computer Forensics for a company which has several roles based in their Gloucester office.
This is a rapidly growing team of intelligent technologists, with ambitious plans to expand further over the next 12 months, whilst creating an exciting and compelling place to work which has a "google-esque" feel.
With this in mind, we are looking for skilled Software Engineers with a technical background ideally in Python, C++, Java or C# but most importantly have the willingness to learn new technologies. You will have exposure to cutting edge skills and development methods, working with some hugely capable people in a supportive team atmosphere.
Please note for these roles you must hold or be able to obtain SC and DV clearance.
The role will involve:
Defining, developing and testing new features
Writing testable and maintainable code that works across browsers
Collaborating with developers and stakeholders in feature development
Creatively deciphering user requirements with technical solutions
Keeping abreast of new and future technologies
As such, you will have the following skills and experience:
A strong background in working on complex distributed systems
Proficient user of Data Processing frameworks
An understanding of REST and RESTful service
Proven background in one or more of the following: Python, C++, Java or C#
Experience with database technologies, particularly big-data solutions
Advantageous skills include some of the following: Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Hadoop, MongoDB, HBase, Redis, Accumulo, Node.js, WPF, MVC, TCP/IP, Virtualisation, RabbitMQ and Kafka
Self-starter with a creative and analytical approach to problem solving
