Role summary

This role will lead our global Procure to Pay (PTP) team in Leeds, Guildford and Kuala Lumpur managing the Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Employee Expenses activities for our supplier and employee base. The role is integral to the success of the PTP function, providing global leadership and a point of escalation for this service tower.

This forms part of the Global Business Services function (GBS) which has global accountability for the full end-to-end P2P, O2C and R2R processes in one centralised function and also offers many other value streams including Master Data Management and Data Quality.

The role will be based in Leeds and requires some international and national travel.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage a global team's performance, training, recruiting and developing and ensuring world class customer service delivery.
  • Ensure good working relationships and credibility with the GBS management team, wider team and stakeholders.
  • Manage and respond to escalations, and manage supplier and employee queries.
  • Identify and drive process improvement efficiencies, and attend project working groups.
  • Receipting and posting supplier invoices to the SAP system for all entities within the group, and ensuring invoices are processed to agreed SLAs.
  • Process electronic expense claims within our Concur system and manual claims to SAP. Audit expense claims in line with our expenses policy. Pay employee expenses - credit cards and cash payments. Act as Concur representative for the business.
  • Process automated and manual payments for all third party suppliers. Reconcile supplier statements in line with Group policy.
  • Check and process intercompany invoices into SAP.
  • Reconcile company credit card statements.
  • Prepare aged creditor and debit balance reviews and reconciliations.
  • Review Aged Creditors and set team targets to reduce aged items.
  • Prepare monthly reports.

What we're looking for

  • Considerable experience providing purchasing, AP and expenses support to a global business, demonstrating subject matter expertise.
  • Experience of managing a global team across time zones and cultures in a dynamic and fast paced environment, delivering to SLAs and KPIs, demonstrating ability to deliver performance improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, risks and opportunities with management team and internal stakeholders
  • Experience of operating on integrated ERP systems, ideally SAP and Concur.
  • Resilience and the ability to influence, negotiate and drive operational credibility to resolve conflict.
  • Collaborative with peers and colleagues to drive involvement and engagement.
  • High attention to detail and analysis abilities including Excel.
