Role summary

As part of the Management Accounting Centre, this role will be responsible for supporting our Finance Business Partners with accurate delivery of management accounting services in an effective and efficient manner, with a focus on providing a quality, customer-focused service and attention to detail. You will be at the forefront of our newly created Global Business Services (GBS) centre; it is an exciting time to be a part of this evolving team.

GBS has global accountability for the full end-to-end P2P, O2C and R2R processes in one, centralised function and also offers many other value streams including Master Data Management and Data Quality. We have three GBS hubs, in Leeds, Guildford, and Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll be doing



The role of a Management Accountant within BAE Systems Applied Intelligence is varied and broad; as part of the Management Accounting Centre you will have the opportunity to rotate through different aspects of the finance function and develop your skills, in areas such as:

  • Revenue Recognition
  • Order Book Reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Intercompany Reconciliations
  • P&L and Balance Sheet Analysis
  • Project Forecasting
  • Margin Trading
  • Working Capital Reporting and Analysis
  • Accrual and Prepayment maintenance
  • Group Submissions
  • Statutory Reporting


What we're looking for

  • Part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Experience of providing management accounts, consistently meeting deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm to improve processes within a control environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross function team and at various seniority levels, being adaptable in an evolving environment
