We have the pleasure of recruiting for a Server Support Engineer to work in Slough office for one of the UK's leading and most recognised IT Service provider. A real British institution and recognised organisation, my client is offering a fantastic 5-month contract to work with an IT supplier.

This fantastic opportunity has arisen, due to the uplift in workload and working on new projects within the business.

You will be working in Slough with a reputable organisation that will add development and progression to your career and CV. You will support the Project Manager and a team of technical engineers.

Day to day duties will require to perform daily floor walks (as required) to capture operational or other issues which may impact on day-to-day operations in the data centres. Report on any issues which may affect the performance of any individual server or item of infrastructure in or around the data centre. Work efficiently with other IT departments to ensure the fastest and most efficient resolution of problems for the customer. Keep up to date with technical developments in servers and infrastructure, especially focusing on the equipment used at present. Respond to requests for information on any aspect of server hardware such as specifications, upgrades and compatibilities. Maintain any documentation as required by your team leader or as defined by you to improve your efficiency and accountability for tasks performed.

With highly developed interpersonal skills, you'll have the ability to engage with customers and ensure that you provide a consistently positive customer experience. In addition, you'll have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and will be an enthusiastic and supportive colleague in an often-pressurised environment.
