Our client is a global high-tech player in Aerospace, Defence and Security.  They provide a wide range of defence and security solutions to Governments, Institutions, and citizens that includes every possible intervention scenario: aerial and terrestrial, naval and maritime, space and cyberspace. Due to sustained growth and the evolution of business requirements of our client’s customer base, they are seeking to expand their team.

Responsibilities:

• Working hands-on as part of the Service Desk team based locally and remotely, you will be responsible for:
• Operating the Help Desk, providing a working day service with out-of-hours call-out arrangements and potentially a 24/7 365 service responding to user queries and requests and providing regular updates to users;
• Providing a response service to operational defects reported by system users;
• Initiation and management of new User accounts administration for all systems;
• Liaison and cooperation with other internal, customer and third party helpdesks and service providers during incident and fault management;
• Performing onsite hardware repair for all systems in accordance with various KPI Priorities;
• Ensuring that systems remain available to all users through regular monitoring of system down time against target availability;
• Ensuring that system performance is maintained, including monitoring of Network bandwidth requirements
• Maintaining spares provision to meet system availability.

Requirements:

• experience of Wintel IT systems;
• skills/experience of IT infrastructure services/components:
  • MS Active Directory;
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP;
  • Server installation/ build;
  • VMware/Microsoft Hyper-V;
  • Microsoft WDS, MDT;
  • Implementation of security policies/system lockdowns (MS Active Directory GPOs, App whitelisting/blacklisting, device/media control);
  • IDAM solutions inc. PKI services;
  • Microsoft Back Office products (Exchange, SQL, SCOM/MOM, ISA/TMG, LYNC, ILM/FIM);
  • Implementation/management of enterprise Anti-Virus product;
  • Implementation/management of enterprise Backup solution and enterprise Patching/Update solution inc. Microsoft SUS/WSUS;
  • Enterprise Firewalls (Cisco PIX/ASA, McAfee, F5);
  • Cisco to CCNA;
  • Citrix Terminal Services/XenApp;
  • ‘Nix operating systems (Solaris, Linux).
  • Demonstrable understanding of Cloud technologies/delivery
