Your new role
The ideal candidate shall work under the direction of the Senior Engineer to deliver specific work packages by applying broad communications engineering skills. The candidate will work upon a variety of research and development challenges to deliver cutting edge Electronic Warfare and Cyber solutions for both customer and Lockheed Martin enterprises.

Successful candidates will be expected to:
  • Utilise various hardware, software and communications components to develop bespoke solutions for a diverse client range.
  • Work within the team to assist the identification and implementation of technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Learn technologies quickly and disseminate knowledge to peers.
  • Show willingness for professional development, increasing skills and knowledge within the EW & C environment.

What you'll need to succeed

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Problem solving: a methodical problem analysis approach to determine the root cause of issues.
  • A high-level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of principles of full engineering lifecycles



Successful candidates will possess one or more of the following:

  • Fundamental understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) communication theory and communication system design.
  • Use of RF test equipment (spectrum analyser) in support of RF analysis.
  • Knowledge of developing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms and architectures
  • Working knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies, including GNURadio or REDHAWK.
  • Variety of languages for test and development such as: C++, Python or Embedded C.
  • Experience in FPGA technologies and languages, e.g. VHDL or Verilog.



What you'll get in return
Our client is flexible with this role and has stressed the right candidate will be experienced and professional, the salary banding has been set between £27,000-£60,000 and this is dependant on the candidates skillset and experience
