Technical Resource Manager – Wiltshire – Military Knowledge and Background Outsource UK’s Cyber Team are looking to recruit a Technical Resource Manager to work for a boutique consultancy that works within defence. Due to continued growth and a large project portfolio, the business is looking for a technical resource manager, with a strong knowledge of military projects and systems The role would suit an ex-military engineering or technical staff officer who has the aptitude and people skills to lead and manage our expanding group of world-class consultants. This is a challenging role that requires a person who can not only identify innovative solutions while under pressure of time but can sensitively manage the needs of both the customer and consultant. This role is ideal for an ex-military person taking their first steps into the commercial and business world. The client will provide training, mentoring and the opportunity to exploit your transferrable skills and develop your potential. The role is responsible for assigning the right consultant to the right project while maximising productivity across multiple projects and technical disciplines We are looking for a person who has: Previous military experience in technical or engineering leadership and management A technical or engineering degree or equivalent. A proven track record of creative problem solving and developing innovative solutions under pressure of time The ability to work closely with a team in a matrix management organisation offering strong management and leadership skills The confidence and outgoing nature to build relationships with ease The role is paying a good salary of £45,000 and £50,000 depending on experience, plus training and pension. Individuals interested in this role will be required to either hold or be eligible for, UK Security Clearance (SC). The role is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire and is commutable from Swindon, Gloucester, Bristol Bath, and Marlborough.
