Contract opportunity with one of our biggest clients in Glasgow.

Role Description:
A contract Server Administrator is required to join their busy Application Operations team. They are undertaking a security review of their estate, and require an experienced and skilled server administrator to assist in the progression of the outcomes of that review.

• Configuring and maintaining Windows Server 2012/16/19
• Configuring and networking in Microsoft Azure
• Helping to drive and implement security best practice around our Azure estate
• Implementing and documenting a "best-practice" approach to ongoing server management

Experience:
• Proven ability in maintaining a sizeable server base
• Commercial experience in maintaining and administering Azure resources
• Good background with security analysis and implementation

In addition to the required experience, knowledge of the following would be beneficial

• Azure Platform as a Service offerings such as:
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure Load Balancer
  • Azure App Services (including Web apps and Functions)
• Web infrastructure technologies
  
  • • Web Application Firewalls
    • Web Security best practices
