DEV OPPS RESEARCH ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A DEV OPPS ENGINEER:

• Solve ongoing security issues with the company’s own product and monitor its usage in customer security environments
• Research new security trends and attack methods in order to develop new solutions and stay ahead of the curve
• Research and develop detection and response solutions for their personalised security product
• Work with customers to resolve technical challenges
• Support threat hunting and threat modelling
• Work collaboratively with the Research and Development team to find best practice and share information

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR A DEV OPPS ENGINEER:

• Experience working as a Dev Opps engineer or equivalent is essential
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python
• Experience interfacing with web APIs such as REST, SOAP, and streaming
• Experience using command line tools such as Linux
• Experience in red and/or blue team environment’s
• Experience building tools and automations
• Ability to manage multiple responses at once, both internal and external
• Solid understanding of cyber security practices such as firewalls, vulnerability management, TCP/IP and device monitoring
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Eligibility for UK National Security Clearance
