Provides a high level of technical expertise and support across multiple technical disciplines. Ensures that appropriate documentation are delivered- such as, support procedures for technical services staff, training documents, and service level agreements across multiple technical disciplines. Produces and maintains documentation as per departmental document control standards, including support documents, project plans and status reports across multiple technical disciplines. Provides input to records, quality systems and management reports, as required, across multiple technical disciplines. Provides capacity analysis and produces reports both regularly and on an ad-hoc basis across multiple technical disciplines. These may require specialist knowledge of the technology and markets Manages the engineering life cycle of all infrastructures, thus ensuring that all hardware, software and firmware, is maintained at the correct revision level and is supportable. Manages key vendor day-to-day relationships and ensures effective management of maintenance and support contracts. Manages and develops and a highly effective and motivated team with clearly defined objectives aligned to the overall objectives of technical services. Plans and prioritizes work load of team, assigns staff to projects, develops team members and conducts staff appraisals. Provides proactive problem management that reduces the volume of incident across the technology organization. Contributes work out of hours when appropriate to support major implementations or to react to high priority service issues. Takes on the role of Technical Recovery Manager for major incidents within your defined area. Expectation management, ensuring all plans, budgets, and expectations are well grounded. Ensures department use of change management procedures in defining, planning and implementing change in such a way that service disruption is minimized, and adherence to service level agreements. Ensures appropriate & timely escalations when technology interests are being compromised to ensure the correct levels of management visibility. Contributes to the definition and implementation of operating procedures and operability on new and existing systems, ensuring adherence to Operations Standards Ensures that software compliance is maintained for all the systems supported. Applies technical policies and standards to the systems supported Follows and helps define Project and Implementation processes. Delivers technical capability to standards, on time, and within budget. Ensure compliance to all technical/data protection policies.
