What does the role involve?
  • Working on the front line of cyber defence
  • Monitoring cyber threats actively and responding to cyber attacks
  • Working in a team of experienced security professionals
  • Access to amazing mentoring opportunities
  • Disrupting possible criminal activity to clients alongside the security engineering team
  • Working with variety of IT functions to ensure the configuration of cyber security systems are maintained appropriately for our clients
  • Confidently communicating facts and opinions with technical and non technical colleagues
  • Ensuring our cyber security services proactively meet clientele expectations
  • Identifying suspicious or threatening activity/suspected cyber attacks through analysis of technical data
  • Monitoring operational security management systems
  • Determining emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities through advanced security analytics tools
  • Provide security incident triage and investigation
  • Completing projects and tasks associated with security monitoring and intelligence
  • Collaborating in Red Team/Blue Team exercises and incident rehearsals

Can I apply?
  • A BSc in Computing Science, Mathematics - min 2:1 (Desirable)
  • Ability to comprehend raw system data (e.g. security event logs)
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP networks
  • Ability to recognise a sophisticated attack
  • Able to identify event data patterns, threat intelligence and malware analysis
  • Knowledge of security technologies, such as application and network firewalls
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools
  • Practical knowledge of Cyber Security threat landscape and current affairs
