Your new company
Your new organisation will be an advanced technology services organisation providing professional services and software defined solutions to enterprises across the world. Due to the exceptional quality of their work, they've been recognised as a leading partner to Cisco. With their success, they're looking to expand their Engineering team and add a full time consultant to work on major global projects. This role will be client facing and will require travel, potentially globally to meet the needs of the projects.

Your new role
Within this role, you'll take a lead on detailed architectural and product conversations with customers, properly assessing and auditing current Infrastructures across multi-domain architectures. You'll be creating detailed, professional design documentation with accurate, clear diagrams. Once agreed with the client, you'll build and test the solution in labs, before integrating and testing in a live environment. Once the system is live, you'll undertake and troubleshooting and fault finding as requiring.
Overall you'll be leading on technical projects from end-to-end in accordance to the organisations delivery plans, contributing and refining these where necessary.

What you'll need to succeed
Overall, the individual the company is seeking will be a highly motivated and skilled team player who has at least 5 years of engineering experience in a networking role, with a complementary understanding of the associated technologies across Compute/Virtualisation/Storage and Backup. Whilst qualifications are a benefit to your application, you must be able to demonstrate your abilities to implement the associated technologies within a live environment.

Requirements:
Experience in one (or more) of the following domains:
  • 3+ Years' experience with Cisco ACI
  • 2+ Years' experience with Cisco SD-WAN, or another vendor.
  • 2+ Years' experience with Cisco SD-Access
Experience of designing and delivering Software Defined networking solutions
Knowledge of Cisco Software Defined networking technologies
Extensive experience in designing and deploying different network architectures
Detailed product knowledge of Cisco networking products.
In depth experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing advanced network issues including configuration, routing issues, performance concerns, software bugs, hardware failures.
Excellent documentation skills • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts with non-technical audiences
Ability to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions.
Exposure to non Cisco Infrastructure, i.e. HP, Juniper, F5, Citrix, CheckPoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto and VMWare NSX
1+ Years' experience of working within a DevOps methodology, with skills in the following tools: Python, Ansible, Git/Jenkins, Puppet/Chef
Valid UK Driving License, and access to a vehicle
Valid UK Passport.

Desirable Skills:
5+ Years of experience with any of the following vendors Cisco UCS, HP Enterprise, Dell
3+ Years exposure to Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) with either Nutanix, Cisco HyperFlex, Dell/VMWare VxRail
5+ Years experience with Hypervisor technologies (VMware vSphere Infrastructure, Microsoft Hyper-V)
5+ Years experience of Storage Infrastructure (PureStorage, NetApp, Dell/EMC,HP/Nimble)
1+ Years experience of working with Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure , GCP)
Knowledge of industry security concepts and solutions
Experience in Wireless Technologies • Cisco Networking certifications
Experience of Application Delivery i.e. Load Balancing and GSLB
Security Clearance or the ability to undergo (SC, DV)
