The Role:
To devise, build, maintain networking and computer systems. Install both hardware and software during the setup and maintenance of these systems.
The systems will operate as part of the core infrastructure, and as such, you will be responsible for provisioning, configuring and operating the network systems that allow the authority to function.
The job will entail technical research and development, the introduction of new systems for process improvement or long-term system road mapping.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, maintain, test and troubleshoot the core IT Infrastructure and estate to maintain the highest level of system uptime as possible.

• Analyse system components and make recommendations regarding computer system security, cyber security, best practice and resource requirements.

• Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve system related problems.

• Take the lead on specialist support for system development and new technical projects

• Undertake identified project work in accordance with business needs and as directed by your line manager
